Back Then
This box held treasures only
your imagination can reveal.
Friends joined to participate in the ceremony.
We all had some part of us needing to be seen.

She wanted to be a gypsy.
It allowed her to.
The other one wanted to be a ballerina.
She could.
This box was a way to follow your dreams and imagination.
Our personalities changed as we grew.
The box changed with time, also.
It began to crack and break as we grew older.
Instead of it being in the middle of our room,
it got placed in the back of the closet,
used seldomly.

We all grew furthur apart as time went on.
Occasional peaks in that old box, but not like before.
We all probably feel the same way.
Why?
How did our imaginations fall from us?
We still have the flame in our souls,
But not like before

This box held treasures only your imagination can reveal.
